Mental performance or relaxation can be controlled by choosing the right combination of foods. L-tyrosine and L-tryptophan are two amino acids which compete with one another to control brain functions. L-tyrosine is used by the brain to synthesize the neurotransmitters norepinephrine and dopamine, both of which are critical to clear, quick thinking; long-term memory; and feelings of alertness and stability. L-tryptophan is used by the brain to make the neurotransmitter serotonin, which is responsible for slowing down reaction time, imparting satiety after a meal and inducing sleep. L-tyrosine, found in protein-rich foods like meat, poultry, seafood, beans , tofu, and lentils, thus serves as a nutritional stimulant to the brain, whereas L-tryptophan, found in such foods as bananas, sunflowers seeds, and milk (and whose effects are augmented when consumed with carbohydrate-rich foods), slows mental functions.
If L-tyrosine reaches the brain before L-tryptophan, it will prime your brain to function at maximum performance levels all day (or all night, depending upon when you eat the meal or snack). But if L-tryptophan reaches the brain first, it will stimulate the production of serotonin, and your mental performance will ebb and your brain will begin to shut down, even in the middle of the day.
A program of mental fitness and control over your own levels of mental performance, memory, relaxation (and even depression) will facilitate the production of these amino acids and passage through the Blood Brain Barrier.

Carbohydrates (abundant in foods that are high in starch and sugar) are quickly broken down by the body into glucose. Carbohydrates enhance mental performance because the brain thrives on glucose. It supplies your brain with the most basic type of energy it needs to think, remember, solve problems, and control the rest of the body.
Foods that are rich in complex carbohydrates, such as whole grains, brown rice, unrefined cereals and flours, and vegetables and fruits, provide your brain with a steady supply of glucose. Just as with protein, when you eat carbohydrates is critical to how your brain will respond. Timing is everything. It’s best to portion out your meals with proper food combining and eat 5 – 7 small meals a day. This includes any intake of food. Not water. Drink plenty of water. “The key to musclization is through hydration." These are made up words to help you understand. Ever wonder what its like to drink H20 but consider the hydrogen molecule to have 13 ions floating around it? "WOWIE!" Understand that normally there is 1 ion per hydrogen atom and sometimes if that. This is because there is nonliving water floating around and remember city municipal water can be reused and reused continuously with more in addition to meet demand. Using vortex driven water (to supercharge molecules) or natural springs (already activated water) has that potency of that stellar molecular energy and will transform your body as great as the ever constant of the universe. Begin the day with a mixture of protein and complex carbohydrates: hemp seed milk with whole-grain raw cereal (buckwheat, sesame, flax, etc) and fresh fruit or perhaps dehydrated currents.
To renew mental energy for the afternoon, have a salad with sprouted walnuts or pumpkin seed oil dressing, shrimp cocktail if you’re totally unconscious to your diet but it very well will work with more of a negative side effect. Raw chicken breast or Bison and fresh fruit for dessert. The largest and heaviest of consumption would be now.
Use the midday snack to supply your brain with carbohydrates. Choose fresh fruit (Consider being in a geographical position of California and the distance that far from the equator, finish all high acid and sweet fruits “pau”/done by 2pm.) Enjoy low-fat crackers/breads such as dehydrated raw greens, sprouts and grains. 6oz of fruit juice, vegetable juice cocktail, smoothie, or tonic with cold extracted powders.
Start the evening with complex carbohydrates-baked potato, for the goddess sweet potato or yam. Squash is a good side dish, so is corn but I am not considering to ever eat any you can email me “why?” It’s smart to take into consideration cooked foods for medicinal purpose. We are talking about the whole function engine for the body. Feed your Brain. It’s all about consciousness and very well not everyone can maintain a 100% RAW FOOD DIET; choose a choline-rich entree, such as lentil soup or fish; and finish with a low-fat frozen yogurt dessert if you’re into cooked foods or if you are raw I use pistachios, walnuts, and macadamia nuts for my ice creams and avocados for ice cream.
