I wanted to introduce you to a new snack to try. It’s easy to make and quite inexpensive. This is a recipe for those Raw Foodies who like to play in the kitchen getting their dehydration on. I am spending sometime prepping product and you can experience this yummy recipe at Bhakti Fest 2012. I will be volunteer featured Chef for one of the vendors present. Please come by and show your support and grab some Sesame Miso Pop Cauli.
Lactobacilus Acidophilus found as the living culture helps to create a microbial balance within the intestinal tract. Probiotics work to reduce intestinal overgrowth that may be caused by a lack of fiber, certain birth control medications, antibiotics, gastrointestinal infections or consuming over-chlorinated water. By adding probiotics, gastrointestinal problems such as constipation, excess gas, bloating and diarrhea may be corrected.
Cauliflower is the main component needed for this recipe. Take the head and break or cut into simple florets removing the leaves and stalk. Take florets and with your hands crush them by making a fist and release into a bowl to catch. You will continue to add ingredients into this bowl.
Finally add the ingredients below followed by the instruction into the bowl and get your dehydration on!
2 Heads Cauliflower
½ cup Chickpea Miso
¼ cup Sprouted Sesame Seed
1 small Yellow Tomato
2 – 3 tlbs Raw Honey, add more for desired sweetness
(vegan substitute): use dates 4 – 7
Use Vitamix: Use chickpea miso, water, tomato and sweetner of choice. Blend and then add to bowl of prepped cauliflower.
Add: In the bowl of mixed cauliflower and miso sauce, add the sprouted sesame seeds and mix together.
Use Dehydrator: Place finished cauliflower mixture onto dehydration sheets. Place at 100*F for 32 hours. This will create a fun chewy texture. If you desire crunchy texture, you can place at 105*F-118*F for 24 hours.
(Anything made over 102*5 F is considered “NOT RAW”.)
