JEREMIAH SHATTUCK'S FIRST ATTEMPT AT MAKING A VIDEO!
Is this what its like with the academic funk? Continuous moments absorbed into the computer with no relief, hours of typing, editing and watching online training videos? LOL. I had a real fun time getting acquainted to the adobe premier software. This was my first attempt to make and edit my own video. It is a long process however it seemed pretty natural for me. I love how I got to fall comfortable into my creativeness. Naturally I didn't have time to run around looking for something to shoot or create a video ideally. There is no time with the amount of assignments while struggling with a disability. You may be able to tell if you watch closely the second time. Look at my hands. It was really fun to work with the students and instructors to on make a video from the OAL 435 class at Southern Oregon University. We spent the whole day on campus shooting for the new Rock Wall gym at the Lithia Motors Pavilion. After that we spent the afternoon in post production editing the material we all took part in creating. It takes a few people to make a good quality video however it can be done by a single person. Just depends how good you are with multitasking and the art that videography is and editing. I am very pleased with my first video and look forward to the next one I create.
Now in my video I wanted to put up a title right after the first fridge open door scene. There is a moment of blackness when I close the fridge before I say Action. I wanted to title " Jeremiah's First Video" OAL 435 Adventure Photography and Writing of course. So now you understand that pause and when I take two and say "and Action!" and open the fridge again its indicating the start to my video. I also wanted to add credits but do not know how. It took me three attempts editing the whole video from scratch to finish because my lack of knowledge and learning experiences. I had problems with saving file, damaged files, and just not knowing what I am doing however I accomplished the mission. I really didn't know what to shoot and honestly it took me 30 minutes before the class to complete the shooting/filming so I would have the material when I walked into class for the editing portion. I was able to create this video off of shooting about three takes on each scene. I didn't know that the material would turn out so well to use and it would all piece together. I was rather nervous but now those butterflies have left . It took me three days to properly figure out how to save the file from a premier project file and then upload it here. In my credits I wanted to thank the OAL students for being you and OAL Professors Chad, Adam, and Eric for making this OAL degree and fun all possible. Thank you gentlemen and thank you my friends.
